young adults have no choice but to seek admission for treatment in facilities that cater for an older age group and struggle to connect with their new peer group. Many treatment facilities lack the knowledge to treat this specific age group with their differing needs. Residential Treatment can be arranged in our own facility or we can help identify suitable alternative facilities from our experience of visiting centres in Europe and the USA. The reality of recovery is that it can be difficult long after the residential treatment phase. After a month or so in treatment the patient believes he is ready to go home but the journey has only just begun. Addiction is a psycho/social/emotional illness and life has a tendency to throw up a host of problems and triggers from the moment the patient discharges from treatment. This is particularly difficult for young adults returning to an environment where their peers are still using. It takes time to readjust and the best way to do this is with the full support of a professional back-up team to support you along the journey.
